· Sign up for car pooling for The Dark Side of Technology. Mr. Hennig provided tickets; date is Thursday 9/22/11.
· Pep rally will be 9/30/11 – FCE bought pompoms for children. Tricycle relay races, we are in need of tricycles (larger size if possible). Spirit wear should be worn that day. If you need spirit wear see DeeAnn Ahrens or Tammy Dean.
· Pizza sale – date for pizza making is 11/12/11. Sign up for committee. Thick crust pizzas will be made in the fall, with thin crust in the spring. Order form will be sent home on 10/3/11.
· Bike Ride on Wiowash Trail will be 10/15/11 with a chili dump supper and Bonfire after. Ride will be for 2 hours and will start at 2pm with dinner at 4:30pm and church at 5:30pm.
Zooloween is at Menominee Park on October 22nd & 23rd in the Zoo. We will have a Martin Luther Church & School booth. Hours are 11:00am-4:00pm. Come in costume. We will offer coffee with cups that have MLS stickers to get our name out.
· Poinsettia and Wreath sale orders will go out October 31st. Poinsettias will be held church alter on Christmas. We are looking at other companies to compare the plants and prices.
· Art Fair March 16th (night of Spring Program) Items will be sold by silent auction. We need to start now having art work matted and framed. Any donations of paper or frames are needed, recycled frames.
· FYI to post FCE information there will be a tab on the Martin Luther Church & School Website. Check for parent tips, family devotions, FCE calendar. Will be out in the next month. Highlighting a classroom each month, starting with Pre-K each child will get a sheet home for information about the children in the class.
· Note Poster outside classroom that is highlighted.
· Karen Casper is stepping down from treasurer position. DeeAnn moves to nominate Angie Wiechman as Treasurer. Tammy Dean seconded the motion. A vote was taken and all were in favor of Angie Wiechman ’s appointment to Secretary/Treasurer. Karen Casper was thanked for her service as treasurer.

BYLAWS OF
FRIENDS FOR CHRISTIAN EDUCATION
NAME
The name of this organization shall be Friends For Christian Education.
PURPOSE
MEMBERSHIP
1. All communicant members of Martin Luther congregation.
2. Teachers of Martin Luther School.
3. Members of other WELS congregations who have children enrolled in Martin Luther School.
4. Members of any congregations in fellowship with WELS who have children enrolled in Martin Luther School.
1. Parents with children attending Martin Luther School who are not
members of WELS congregations or in fellowship with the WELS.
2. Associate members have the right to vote but cannot hold office.
OFFICERS
A. GENERAL: This organization shall have a President, Vice President and Secretary/Treasurer. All officers shall be 18 years of age or older and in good standing with the church. Officers will begin serving in August and shall serve for one (1) year. No officer shall hold the same office for more than two years.
B. PRESIDENT: The President will preside over all meetings.
C. VICE PRESIDENT: The Vice President will hold office for two (2) years,
the first year as Vice President and the second as President. The Vice
President will be chiefly responsible to draft an agenda of events for the
entire school year, with input from the other officers.
D. SECRETARY/TREASURER: The Secretary/Treasurer shall record all
business meetings, maintain organizational record books and shall report
quarterly, to the congregation on the activities of the organization in the church newsletter. The Secretary/Treasurer shall maintain all financial records and report financial activity to the organization.
E. EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE: The officers of the organization, Pastors, teachers and Principal of Martin Luther School shall constitute the Executive
Committee. The Executive Committee shall be responsible for the general management of the organization. The Executive Committee may create committees in addition to any standing committees. The Executive Committee shall meet at the call of the President, either formally or
informally.
MEETINGS
This organization will meet during the months of September through June. Meetings will observe all proper rules of parliamentary procedure.
A. Business Meetings: Business meeting of this organization will be held
between 4 to 5 times during the school year on any evening scheduled by
the Executive Committee. Business meeting shall consist of a topic for the evening and reports for the faculty. At the May meeting we shall elect a
Secretary/Treasurer and a Vice President. Election shall be done by simple
majority of those present. Meetings shall not last longer than 2 hours.
Refreshments may be served prior to the start of the meetings.
B. Events/Activities: Events/Activities will be held at such times and places as may be set by the Executive Committee but the Executive Committee
is encouraged to hold at least 4 to 5 Events/Activities during the school
year.

An initial order will be placed Friday, March 30, and items should arrive within 3 weeks. Please place your order forms in the box in the lobby by end of day on Wednesda,y March 28.
Some items will be displayed in the lobby for a limited time. A book of some detailed catalog pages will also be available.
Orders will again be taken at the beginning of the 2012-13 school year. Item selection at that time will be based on current availability of the manufacturers.
